youngbalder,

No, I have never had a shed. During the past year, my progress on this regimen has been consistent: reduction of dandruff and stabilization of hair loss in the first month.

Learning about ways to improve absorption and trying various brands of these herbs has further enhanced my results.

I find my present line-up of LEF's Super Bio curcumin, Country Life's resveratrol Plus/Jarrow's resveratrol, Toco-8, and Nature's Way's MSM to be extremely effective.

In fact, last year, my doctor suggested that I go on Propecia, as I was thinning terribly on my regimen at the time, which was based on a hair loss supplement by L'Oréal (green tea extract, grape seed extract, and taurine).

A year later, I went to see this same doctor, and even he had to admit that my present regimen had not only stabilized my hair loss, but had also regrown some hair in the crown and temple areas.

He didn't recommend Propecia again.

Yeah zeus, that is too bad. But I wonder what would happen if you only used curcumin, resveratrol, and tocotrienols.

The Natural- Im thinking of dropping all or most of the supplements im taking to see if curcumin/ resveratrol along Toco 8 would be more effective. I dropped Maca about a week ago because i felt that it was not a good blend along with curcumin/ resveratrol. I have very bad dandruff but ever since ive been curcumin/ resveratrol, my scalp feels great no itching or flaky. Its for this particular reason that i do feel i could benefit from this combo thats why i want to stick it out a little longer before i give up on it because like i said its the only thing since i started losing my has been the most effective in keeping my dandruff away. EVeryone please feel free to chime in and let me know what i should change or leave in my regimen.
Here is my current regimen:
400 laser helmet(2 months/20mins 3x per week)
Jarrows zinc balance 15 mg(1x per day)
Toco 8
BCm-95/Jarrows Resveratrol
Jarrows Probiotic (2x per day)
Moxxor Omega 3(2x per day)
Green Vibrance Green drink
Vitamin d3 + k2 (1x per day)
iodine 2 drops every morning
Vitamin C (1000mg per day)
Biotin(5mg per day)

Me too, brother.

I would also ask those into lasers, about sheds (which are not uncommon). They should be able to encourage you as well.

I've been pondering that.. what do you think a good protocol would be for judging the effectiveness of that mix? Say, what should I look for after about a month of use? I'd be happy if I could just get the shedding under control. It seems nothing I've done over the past year+ has curbed that.

It feels silly to be doing nothing right now, other than laser helmet and topical magnesium.

Do you feel that the lasers have helped?

I'd really love to say yes to that question because lasering feels right, but I can't see I've seen any results... no reduction in shed, no thickening of existing hairs, no stopping of miniaturization of existing hairs, no new growth, no change in hair texture.

I'd say I've gone back .5 on the NW scale since starting lasers 3.5 months ago.

I hate to say it but apart from about 4 people it doesn't seem that many users have had success with this. Especially the younger sufferers...

zeus & youngbladder,

Is this a homebuilt laser helmet or did you buy it from nidhogge or OMG?

How long after washing your hair are you waiting to use your laser helmet?

Thanks

The Natural,

It appears some get a shed while others don't with LLLT.

Personally, I never noticed anything, other than better hair days, until around the 4 month mark.
