What are the top supplements for lowering it?

What benefits does low cortisol give?

Thanks

Gromit137 - Phosphatidylserine, Relora, and Ashwagandha are all effective, probably in that order (first being best).

CS - maybe that´s stupid question but do you think that two pills of ashwagandha a day provide double reducing effect on cortisol?
Do you think that increased ashwagandha intake could be beneficial or is it just wasting money?

tommmash - Based on a study, I believe the maximum benefit is achieved with 250 mg, twice per day. If I am wrong, it's not too far from that figure.

What are the benefits of lowering Cortisol?

What happens if you have high Cortisol? And finally, how do you know if your Cortisol levels are high?

Thanks

Ashwaghanda and Holy Basil do this pretty well. Do a Google search on Cortisol lowering herbs.

Based on what I have read so far - PS & Holy Basil would be the top 2.

But again, why are you interested in lowering the cortisol to begin with? How do you know you have high cortisol?

How much Phostphatidylserine would you need to take daily? Would 100mg be better than relora/ashwaga? I read nid took 600mg/daily, that could get pretty expensive.

Man - the 4X saliva test would be the way to go.

Canary club has it for $159 or so here:

http://www.canaryclub.org/advanced-adrenal-a-reproductive-zrt.html

There may be other options too. Search for ASI (adrenal stress index test)
