Multi Vitamin Code

Post  europe on Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:21 am

CS - no more on your regimen ?

by the way, that stuff is really FROM NATURAL SOURCE as it is stated ? on the label, fruits and veggies are only few mg, and apart from the vits , probiotics , minerals etc...

are we sure that stuff won't do more harm than good.

I mean i don"t want synthetic vitamins.

(BTW, Vit K2/D3 / Biotin are part of synthetic no ?)

europe - I removed the multi-vitamin/mineral options to keep the page less cluttered. What I'm doing now is taking mega-doses of Brewer's yeast, usually about 15 or 20 tablets twice per day. That satisfies the b-vitamins in their natural state.

Vitamin K2 as Menaquinone is produced by bacteria, so it's not synthetic. D3 is derived from animal sources I believe, so it's not synthetic.

I add other vitamins and minerals to fill the void, but it's all a bit complicated. For example, through other formulas I'm getting all the rest of the stuff I need (Magnesium, manganese, zinc, etc.)

What about Vitamin Code? I liked it, but was already getting most of the nutrients provided by Vitamin Code, so all I really need was a good source of natural B-complex, which I now take brewer's yeast to get.

Brewer's yeast and Vitamin Code contain very minute amounts compared to most premium multi's, but since the form is complexed in the natural state, they will work much better. Vitamins B1, B4 (not found in multi's), B6 and folic acid are especially nice to get in their natural state.

europe - On a side note, if the mineral tin really helps with hair loss it's nice to know it is found in brewer's yeast.

I didn't list the sources of the other minerals since it may change, but here's what I'm doing at the moment:

http://www.iherb.com/Renewal-Antioxidants-60-Tablets/4540?at=0

This covers Vitamin A, Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid & ascorbyl palmitate), Vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium, 200 mcg, Manganese, gamma-Vitamin E Complex, and Tocotrienol Complex.

Vanadyl Sulfate here:

http://www.iherb.com/BioChem-Vanadyl-Sulfate-180-Veggie-Caps/1754?at=0

I'm always trying different types of Magnesium such as this one:

http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Magnesium-Optimizer-Citrate-100-Easy-Solv-Tablets/261?at=1

I probably get some nutrients from this Chlorella such as RNA & DNA.

http://www.iherb.com/Chlorella-1000-mg-120-Tablets/512?at=0

and lastly supplemental iodine as in 5% Lugol's solution.

For calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and K2 (and some other vitamins and minerals) I take this:

http://www.iherb.com/Ionic-Fizz-Super-D-Calcium-Plus-Raspberry-Lemonade-Flavor-15-oz-420-g/10545?at=0

Lasts 2 months if you take 1 serving per day... very good quality and well designed in my opinion. Seems to contain pretty much every co-factor for bone health and in the right form.

I believe the ratio of magnesium to calcium is also better.

Take look...
