Silica (bio sil, or silica from crushed quartz or foods containing silica)
Magnesium (citrate or orotate) or magnesium oi on the skin
Cod liver oil or krill oil
A lot coconut oil
Vitamin D3 and K2
A lot clean water
Blend greens and eat them
Curcumin (or curcumin extract)
Fibroboost (ecklonia cava) or other anti oxidants
Gelatin
Niacin (B3) or Folate
Fermented food / probiotics .. milk kefir, water kefir, sour kraut, fermented veggies.. Jarrow probiotics

Topically:

Vitamin A seems important for skin... eat liver

Bone broth seems to have a whole bunch of skin nourishing goodies

Vitamin E seems important for skin health too, as per the other thread struggling to find suitable foods to get this in decent quantities of all the different types

how interesting, I think using facial muscles would "cause" wrinkles.. I read an article about a woman who never smiled and she was able to avoid wrinkles...

Many thanks i am unfamiliar with these amino acids, will research them.

would you not recommend porcine or cow gelatin?

silica from a plant source vs. silica from crushed quartz (orthosilicic acid)

I am pretty intrigued by the idea of a topical MSM cream, the iherb page for it says "Restores & Repairs Skin & Collagen Tissue" and it has some good reviews. I want something that can remove / reduce / repair forehead wrinkles or any wrinkles to re-built the health of the skin and rejuvenate it.

would be awesome to get   CS's feedback!  Smile  bounce cheers

Look into my messages teacup. I have written in the past about rebuilding collagen. Hyaluronic acid is also important, just remember to go low and slow with HA and silica.

Yeah, 10mg is good. Although Biosil isn't nearly as bioavailable as monomethylsilanol, so there's less chance of overdosing. Check out my messages for more info there too.

Why low and slow? I'd compare it to bodybuilding, as to where you build up toward lifting huge weights. HA and silica are both acids and therefore can be as catabolic. You want to give calcium (and other nutrients) enough chance to get to those sites and have an anabolic response. You don't want trace minerals and nutrients competing with the big guys.

Building and/or healing collagen (and elastin) is a fairly slow internal process highly regulated by proper oxygenation and bloodflow. Although you could increase this process superficially by daily use of tazarotene/tretinoin along with a topical cream w/ aloe, coQ10, carnosine, vitamin E/A/D/C etc. The results are dramatic in very little time. Check out alldaychemist.com for the generic versions.

Can I be honest? And I'm trying not to be a dick, but Tom doesn't look as good to me. Seeing such uncharacteristically super strong facial muscles with an otherwise weak overall body tone is a disturbing combination for me. And in absence of real collagen production, the rebuilding process is uneven and incomplete enough to make him resemble the joker. Although the Irish eat enough potatoes which have plenty of HA in them. Smile

ha, agree. it's an odd look. think like you say because his overall muscle mass doesn't correspond to his face and also because he's over emphasised some facial muscles but not others (FlexEffect is pretty good for this, it describes the balances/imbalances of facial muscles so you get uniform face balance, some half decent before/afters if anyone interested: http://www.flexeffect.com/before-after/)

i saw a news piece on youtube a while back from a japanese village where no one, including the 90 year olds has wrinkles. they attributed it to all the sweet potatoes they ate and the HA, or something along those lines

cheers for the silicon info btw

Carole Maggio is DEFINITELY the best. She's OBSESSED with facial exercises and is constantly improving them. Her books are cheap as hell.

If you're a guy and want to build facial muscle, you definitely need to supplement with protein. Women too. Women on beauty forums say "Carole Maggio doesn't work!" but they don't eat enough protein.

Biosil and/or other collagen activation substances do work.

It doesn't have to be the expensive patent forms either.

The Carnosine helps probably more than most others on real visible improvements to skin.
I think it's more certain than probably.

MSM topically won't hurt either, but prefer it internally.

All good advice here...

Would like to put in a good word for the headstand yet again.

Headstand and Yoga for Skin Care

A headstand can reduce facial wrinkles, and if practiced regularly, is a natural 'face-lift'. This is because it reverses the effects of gravity and allows the skin to rest in the other direction.

Furthermore, yoga for skin care increases the circulation to the face, which brings much needed nutrients and oxygen to rejuvenate and remove wrinkle causing toxins. The result is smoother, clearer, brighter and glowing skin.

Another thing.  I use Bragg's apple cider vinegar as a toner, works well.  I use it straight on my face
and then mosturizer.  Here's a post from someone who also uses it, although not full strength:

ACV is acid.. it literally will destroy your teeth if you don't rinse your mouth out after using it.. it will burn your throat if you drink it at full strength and can cause damage, they even warn to dilute it.. i'm not sure it should be placed on the skin.. albeit even diluted.. do you have any real backing on this or just curezone type info?

So my own experience doesn't count? At the risk of sounding vain, my skin is lovely Very Happy And there are quite a few comments on the article I linked to, no one is reporting
dire effects.

I don't drink it straight, but I've heard of some who do this with no bad effects.  Am sure you know oil and vinegar is a commonly used salad dressing.

Oh, and here's a thread about using it topically for hair:

Piping up here--diatomaceous earth is one. The silica improves the concentration of collagen in skin.

Any Oils like Coconut oil or Shea butter or Aloe vera? What is Biosil? never heard of it, does it come in capsule form? Is it safe to take? What is it exactly.

I do face brushing too once a week and use coconut oil
