How many hairs is it considered normal to shed?

Post  hairmaniac on Sat Dec 05, 2015 5:39 am

Hello guys, I have read around the web that the normal amount of hair to shed a day is about 50 to 100 hairs, but that sounds alot. Whats your opinion on this subject? Also how many hairs do you usually shed per day?

that's a LOT !

If I am being honest, I don't shed. Maybe about 4 or 5 hairs.

There's literally no hair in the shower or pillow case.

I think a lot of hair is shed without us knowing it which is where the 50-100 hair fall figure might come from. Back when I was losing hair I'd actually count 100+ before giving up because it got too tiring and depressing to count them as they fell. I think when you do halt your hair loss you might notice 7-8 hairs a day but nothing more.
