Need advice for supplementation.

Post  Growdamnit on Tue May 03, 2016 4:27 am

If you check my history, you will be able to find the array of pills I have been swallowing the last couple of years. Everything from the IH top 6 to iodine, MSM, zinc, magnesium, etc. I have revised my diet and reverted back to vegetarianism, consuming A2 milk, ghee, and a couple of other things.

I'm going to get it out of the way, money is not a problem for me and I can afford all of the supplements, but it still is a lot. I also question if taking all of these supplements at once is also a good thing (it is at least 10 pills or more).

I know Vit. E/A/C, B-complex, magnesium, lysine, taurine, and ecklonia cava are essential for good health, but I feel as if they are not growing my hair back and if swallowing all of these pills are bad for me, I'd like to know.

I take r-lipoic. I'm asking what supplements are an absolute necessity when I have a very strict and nutritious diet? What supplements can't hurt to have? I have been taking everything at once, should I split it up? Really would like CS, iuyy, or anyone else knowledgable on the subject.

That link was for the part where you mentioned if taking too much supplements at the same time is bad.
I remember somewhere that CS said that it is not an issue to take a bunch of supplements at the same time but don't quote me on that.

what are the most important for longevity and collagen ?

vitamin k2

taurine
alanine (carnosine)
glycine
lysine / proline

for the mitochondria , yes, you could use ALA. you have many options to repair the mitochondria.
such as coq10
ubiquinol
niacinamide
caffeine
ribose      - some guy on amazon said he regrew hair with it.
methylene blue - don't take with coq10. can replace LLLT
http://immortalhair.forumandco.com/t11521-methylene-blue-is-the-same-as-lllt
magnesium
benzoic acid - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2267406/

so you would take some basic collagen protecting supplements and something for your mitochondria

topically, maybe use caffeine. it depends.

Very strict with this already. Starting to religiously soak nuts and grains whenever I eat them. Can you send me links to recommended brands for the above mentioned supplements?
