Are you a coffee addict? I was, now I switched to mostly white tea due to low caffeine content. Maybe try reducing caffeine.

Funny you mention that.

I recently began salt loading using Himalayan salt and I must say, I'm finding it easier to wake up in the mornings and I feel a bit better overall. It's only been about 3 weeks or so, but I definitely recommend it - especially after all the reading up I did on it.

Man I can't even imagine how badly my body needed sodium. I mean I had salt cut out of my diet for a good portion of the last 8-9 years, except for any cheat meals on the weekends (that's the bad sodium though). Then you combine all the water drinking I do and I must've been pissing out all good vitamins/minerals.

Salt is so important. I had a patient today who was on salt restriction (a cardiac person), I told him. Get back on that salt!

Here's a related article.

Definitely though, buy the real salt (not the variety with fillers).

As of the moment this is all I do:

- Put a full teaspoon of Himalayan salt in a 16oz glass of water. Obviously it needs some time to break down in the water, but I drink one in the morning right when I wake up (which is supposed to be a tremendous help to the adrenals) and then again before I go to bed.

- Sometimes I will mix an Emergen-C packet in there.

Some people put together a "sole" where they fill a glass jar with water and a 1/3 salt and then let it sit for a few days or a week. At which point they then just take a spoonful instead of drinking a whole glass.

I've read Himalaying salt, Wright's salt, or Morton's canning salt.  Some say sea salt, but it's hard to know what your getting given all the pollution in our ocean waters.

I'm not 100% better, but I notice a distinct difference when I wake up.  My head doesn't feel as foggy and my stomach isn't upset.  My energy levels aren't tapering off as hard around 2pm.   My digestion has also gotten quite a bit better too, especially going to the bathroom.

I remember back when my body started acting up, I was having cravings for salty foods.  It all makes sense now.
