Do people ever live into old age without sickness?

Post  MikeGore on Wed Jan 04, 2017 8:26 am

Hi,

I've been thinking about this lately. I was watching a film, and depressed so I wanted to ask you guys about this.

Do people always die in pain and sickness? Aren't there any people who simply live into old age without cancer, cataracts, strokes, movements difficulties?

Is this what awaits us all and our loved ones?

I used to think that people who suffer from such sicknesses were the exception. Is this not the case?

Do all old people get glacoma, cataracts etc?
Do all old people suffer from depression?
Do all old people suffer from dementia?
Do all old people eventually get a slurred speech?
Do all old people started acting weird?

I guess my idea of healthy living into very old age is a long lifespan and long healthspan.

I would hope that with all we know about supplements, nutrition, medicine and health in general, we can prevent such sad situations.

I guess the best way to die would be, living into very old age without debilitating sicknesses and pain, and simply dying in ones sleep.
