Are Great Northern Beans Considered Kidney Beans?

Post  johndoe1225 on Sun Apr 30, 2017 3:51 pm

Hey everyone

I have a simple question, are "Great Northern Beans" considered "Kidney Beans"?  I eat a lot of Great Northern Beans and want to get a few facts straight.

They are colored white/tan if that helps.

I am trying to calculate my molybdenum intake, and WHFoods lists kidney beans as an excellent source, so I'm hoping that includes Great Northern Beans.

Thanks Very Happy

Great Northern Beans are a great superfood. Beans are packed with heart-healthy plant-based protein. They might be my favorite bean. Unfortunately, I haven't eaten many legumes lately.
