Anyone still taking Ecklonia Cava?

Post  helpmyhair1 on Sat Feb 17, 2018 4:02 pm

I used to take it a while ago back when I was maintaining my hair pretty well, though was taking other stuff as well.

I don't take it anymore but my hair is getting worse, and considering taking it again. I just don't remember it doing much, but want to hear other's experiences.

Since I've been using it seemingly "forever" now, I have a good understanding how and what it's actually doing.

It protects against various insults to the hair (reactive oxygen species as one example), and it does so for a considerably long time, vs something else that will exit the body in 30 minutes, ecklonia cava will remain active for 12 to 14 hours.

It also improves the body's ability to maintain plasmin (something you'll want for proper blood flow). It also reduces ACE naturally (angiotensin converting enzyme), which puts a strain on the renal artery, increasing blood pressure.

Other than that, it contains phlorotannins, these are special types of phenols that actually stimulate hair growth. Beyond that, ecklonia cava activates NRF2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2), which is a transcription factor for antioxidant response defenses and sulfur upregulation. In other words, it helps transport sulfur compounds to produce detoxification processes.

It will make a difference with continuous use.

Irony

Post  Benjamin Button on Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:59 am

It's ironic you should ask this on the random day I revisit this site after several months, because I am only taking ecklonia cava right now and have noticed marked improvement in hair quality.

I finally got some money and a good job so i bought a bunch of it a while back. I was meaning to do my whole kitchen sink supplement run but i just don't have time, yet any time hair loss kicks in I panic. So I said I'd start taking eclonia cava at the very least. I've been taking 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening pretty frequently. It's apparently good for erections too so boner, I mean bonus.
Thats improvement after a month of double dosing.

I didn't actually come to discuss that. I came to see if you guys were discussing the mass production of Hair Follicle Germs that recently occured in Japan by Dr. Fukuda. I think it might finally be over. baldness that is. Even if you never gave a shit about your balding, it's likely that the technology will be so ubiquitous in a few years that it would be a totally bizarre life choice not to get it HFG treatment. Like I never cared about tech, yet ultimately ended up with it all against my will somehow. for work, and by being given gifts etc.

i think we were born in a really difficult segment of history regarding hairloss. From 200,000 years ago til about 100 years ago, it would have been a trivial issue. And obviously in the future when it's as easy to fix and treat as any other simple routine procedure, It won't be an issue either..
But for us, we lived at a time when human culture reached it's absolute Zenith of vanity and superficiality. And, when all other personal qualities took a back seat to your physical appearance... Yet we still had basically no advancement in hairloss science.

The supps help. They stall it better than pharmaceuticals and they're good for your health, (and thats a godsend if you just want to control the damage). But they won't give you model hair.

When you say improvement in hair quality, is it just the way the hair feels? Or are you also getting maintenance? thickening? regrowth?

When do you reckon this japanese treatment will be available? I always have low hopes about new stuff because its always a "few years away" but never actually arrives.

Because EC is active for 12 - 14 hours a day, do you take it twice per day?

Does Ecklonia Cava help with fibrosis in the scalp? I've noticed my scalp changing with the skin feeling thicker.. and everything is getting tighter as my hairloss worsens. Will Ecklonia Cava help remove the fibrosis from my scalp?

Its never been tested for that reason and if it was it would be too short amount of time for any tangible results IMO

Thanks CS for the info. I had been taking EK for about 6 years until a few months ago. Iíd been maintaining hair pretty well whilst using a number of other supps from the IH regimen. I was slowly receding over time but not too fast but since stopping the EK I do seem to have noticed that Iím receding much quicker now and coincidentally I was thinking about ordering some more. Iíve not been on this forum for ages and so thought Iíd have a quick browse before ordering to see if there were any new supps people on here were having success with first. My feeling is that the EK is much more powerful than it gets credit for and Iíll be ordering some more today. Will be interesting if I notice a slow down in the receding when I start it again.
