Gilbert's Syndrome and Fatigue (Off Topic)

Gilbert's Syndrome and Fatigue (Off Topic)

Post  Lucky13 on Thu Aug 30, 2018 2:50 am

Hi everyone,

I reviewed the other GS threads and got some good information but I thought I would create a new thread to get any recent comments, questions, things that have helped, etc.

I have a high bilirubin count and will be going for an ultrasound to see if there is any blockage that would cause this. If not, it is likely Gilbert's Syndrome.

I definitely have the symptoms associated with GS: chronic fatigue, anxiety, abdominal pain, bloating etc.

Has anyone tried anything to combat the effects of GS? I have read that doctors usually will not recommend any treatment and just to kind of live with it. However, I would rather find something to help curb these effects.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks all.

I've had a few clients with GS...

Of course standard of care doctors are clueless (they regurgitate the same line)...to "live with it"

Think estrogen, bile flow and liver health.

Thanks Caustic. I feel my doctor will say the same, just waiting to hear it..

I've heard of a few supplements to assist with liver health, fatigue, anxiety etc.

-Milk Thistle
-St. Johns Wort
-Curcumin
-Vitamin B's/C/D

Any thoughts on these?

Thank you.
