Daily dose of R-lipoic Acid (safety)

Daily dose of R-lipoic Acid (safety)

I've been taking the dose 200mg R-lipoic acid Na-Rala TWICE a day, for a couple of days. Could that amount be considered safe? Even in the long run?

Along side the Na-Rala I also consume biotin, NAC, D3 and ascorbic Acid. I will later on add some more stuff.

My goal is mainly to raise levels of glutathione in the system.

Comments are appreciated.

Misirlou - It is safe, but would advise to also be sure you're taking a source of B-vitamins besides biotin.

Oh, any supplement you recommend or something from the nature I should consume like bananas?

Can you also please say why it is important. I currently get 5000mcg biotin + 150mcg d-biotin/day.

The ascorbic acid is really...sour...isn't this bad to take too much acid stuff?

I had a tendency to hypoglycemia, but seems that the reason was dysbiosys (acidosis and die-off)

I started with R-ALA and didn't affect me in any way.

The tired feeling might be Ecklonia Cava (HGH) or Iodine or anything that causes die-off... are you using any of these?!

If so, it might be good to lower the dose and build up over time.

Using none of them Littlefighter...but perhaps it's the lack of vitamin B...?

Yes, I believe so. You could take Brewer's Yeast (Lewis Labs is best in my opinion) and/or a good multi. Some people here has been reporting good things in energy and wellbeing by using brewer's yeast alone.

I use a good multi plus extra biotin (5000 mcg per day), so I have no problems.

I noticed that I've taken 3 times the recommended daily dosage of ascorbic acid, hehehehehe my bad Smile Perhaps that made me a bit tired.

I'm also looking for a good whole/cell food product to eat every day. Any suggestions?

I've tried chlorella powder..and it tastes like something the cat thrown up.

I mean more like a complete nutrient powder taken daily to get the right vitamins, minerals etc..

You can buy chlorella and spirulina in tablet form. The powders are a tad cheaper so I jsut put them into my protein shakes. A little banana, raw honey, and cinnamon and you'll never know it's there (besides the green color that is Very Happy).

Or you can try something like http://www.spiru-tein.com/. I just tried a blueberry sample the other day and it mixed well with rice milk and tasted pretty good. It's a combination of Soy, Rice, Pea, & Spirulina.

eeeehhh..ehhhmmmm.....I overheard my neighbor talking about it Wink

For what it's worth, I think Nidhogge should try a topical cat-trowup cocktail on his scalp, it could grow his hair back! geek
