How Deep in mm is the hair follicle embedded in scalp skin?
I'm concerned about damaging the follicles with a 'too long' dermaroller needle length.
Does anyone think my concerns are warranted? Or is the follicle so deep ... it would be difficult to puncture it?

Anyone know if the follicle bulb is deeper than .75mm below the skin surface?

If I'm not mistaken it's somewhere around 6 mm.
Also, a .75 mm dermaroller when you go to use it really can only penetrate somewhere around .6mm.
Also, IME, I've never had a 1.5 mm dermaroller which will puncture somewhere around 1.3 mm cause any problems as well as using a diabetic lancet which will penetrate even further ... I'm guessing 2.5 mm.
The real problem you'll want to watch out for is inflammation. And also beware of using minoxidil and a dermaroller together.

Thanks for the info. What would be the problem with minox and the roller ... I've been using all sorts of topicals ... including minox ... after rolling?
