Which multi vitamin to get

Post  blackjack on Sun Nov 29, 2009 4:01 pm

Not sure what I want to get (i was previously taking individual supplements, i still think that's the best way todo it, but for cost reasons maybe be better to switch to a mutli)
these are my top choices..

blackjack - Of the list, this one (http://www.thesynergycompany.com/pages/vita-synergy.html) I think is the best of what you listed. The reason is that they are no USP (not synthetic isolates).

Similar choices are here:

http://www.iherb.com/Organics-Every-Man-180-Tablets/62?at=0

What I do is even cheaper, I just take Brewer's Yeast which contains both natural B-complex and minerals in their natural state. This keeps the skin incredibly clean and acne free and probably pro-hair. I take Chlorella or Spirulina for the Vitamin A, DNA/RNA and other nutrients.

I used to take a Costco multivit, but in October I switched to Greens+ Wild Berry Burst and have been happy enough with it to keep using it. I'm thinking about switching to a similar Amazing Grass product as its a little cheaper and doesn't have any Soy Lecithin but I like the wild berry taste and herbal stuff in the Greens+. I emailed them and they sent samples of their 3 greens products to try, and the plain one was a little too grassy for me.

I don't actually use it, but the guys over at the Imminst forums seem to believe it is the core of a lot of their regimens. If I were to get it I probably would only use half the dosage, getting just over 2 months for $90.

I have been using this multi-vitamin lately and like it:

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/GLF013/ItemDetail

Notice it's 38.40 from Swanson's. If you ordered it from iHerb it's 10 dollars more. Unfortunately Swansons has a lot of products it won't ship to Canada and this product was no exception. So I ordered it from Vitacost, which is a fine company, but just way too slow for my liking. Recently I ordered products from Swansons, iHerb, Bestvite, and Vitacost all on the same day. iHerb is usually faster than Swansons by 2-3 days but all 3 shipments arrived on the same day. (It was only my second time ordering from Bestvite.) And then a week later my parcel from Vitacost arrived.

I take chorella. its cheap, bioavailable, natural, has heavy metal detox qualities, enhances normal flora(good bacteria) proliferation, has vitamins and minerals, apart from the technique to break the cell walls, has no human interference, i could go on for ages about it. its probably not the best superfood, but for my needs i think its perfect, and i reccomend it to everyone i know. even CS likes it (see his post above).

Any mulivitamin will work as long as it contains the basics like Vitamin A, E, B12 iron, folic acid....most do. And yes green tea or green tea tablets do boost your metabolism. And so does drinking plain water. Good luck
