CS/others- Any thoughts/experience with Biosil

I remember when I worked at a health store, a lot of customers were raving about the liquid silicon and hair thickening. I looked into it and found that liquid silicon wasn't absorbed.

Again I am seeing lots of reviews about hair growth/thickening.

This is recommended on Jarrow's "Bone Up" to be taken in conjunction, so it obviously helps strengthens bones. Anyone tried any brand of Biosil before? I don't know much about it, but it looks like a promising supplement. I wonder why iherb is discontinuing it when it is a best seller.

Biosil thickens hair and nails but won't slow hair loss IME.

I still have some but with my high rice consumption I haven't taken it in a long time.

I second jdp710 - My experience was the same, not worth buying. I had experimented with it on and off for years just to give it a fair shot.

Damn- those reviews sound so promising! Granted they were mostly from women. Would you say that MSM is better for thickening? I remember reading something about MSM not being good for you for some reason?

Also- any idea why iherb would be discontinuing a best selling product? I notice they have another brand in capsule form. Maybe they don't make as much off the Jarrow?

Tried Biosil years ago, didn't do anything that I could see. I believe that MSM/vitamin C are far cheaper and much better for the hair/nails/skin.

Good to know, thanks. I guess I'll hold on it considering the not so great feedback. My mom has osteoporosis though and her bottle of Jarrow Bone-Up suggests taking biosil with it, so I may order it for her. Most of the reviews on it are by women so maybe it works better for them considering they may not be contending with AGA. It can't hurt for bone strength I guess.
