Calcification test poll
Hi guys!
I had a virus so I havent been around for a week. I was using "the librarian" prior to the crash but have decided to use this opportunity to changeto "TK".
JDP posted Paul Bragg's calcification test here:
http://www.worldhairloss.org/index.php/forums/viewthread/24/
It would be really interesting to see if people "pass" or "fail" this test. Before I began the high dose K2 my neck was cracking like crazy. Now it is almost completely crack free. BTW, when I say high dose, I mean it! Also I have decided not to use K2 topically but I am using other decalcifying agents, namely magnesium, msm, vit c , vit d, apple cider vinegar.

Re: Calcification test poll
Hey Librarian....oops, I mean TK, I have only been on the higher dose of K2 since just before Christmas. Was already using the other decalcifying agents you mentioned but upped the dose of msm as well as added it topically as per your suggestion. Have noticed less joint pain/aches everywhere except my left wrist (old injury) that has been aggravated by heavy lifting. For the crazy training I have been doing I am remarkably ache and cracking/popping free so I suspect there may be something to this although am not sure if only 4-5 weeks is enough time to realistically see a change. I am quite pleased with my overall feeling and training performance and for the first time in quite a while feel well less than my age again (47 feel 27). Happy days! Knees much better as well after soccer.
Should also mention that iodine seems to have really helped me (see my thread on iodine). Scalp inflammation is also virtually nil now and coming out of Christmas it was pretty bad as I had gotten undisciplined with my diet for a week or so.

Re: Calcification test poll
TK - I've been on a relatively low dose K2 for quite a while now, only to have very recently increased it to 15 mg per day and up. I have no stiffness or cracking, however it may also be due to my high hyaluronic acid intake also.

Re: Calcification test poll
I failed a few of the tests, but to be fair, Im about as flexible as a steel pole in an Alaskan snowstorm. I just recently started taking K2, so I dont suspect Ill be seeing any results for a while.
On a side note, Ive been taking MK4 K2 to help strengthen my teeth and fight a few spots where there is slight decay. Would this form alone bring any decalcification benefits, or would I have to have a more full complex of K2?

Re: Calcification test poll
Here's my results
Stand erect, hands at your sides. Now lower your head to your chest and start a slow rolling movement, around and around. Many people can feel the inorganic calcification grating as they roll their heads. Can you feel that? Dr Bragg says, this shows that there has been a definite infiltration of insoluble minerals and toxic acid crystals into the head of the Atlas, This is the bone at the top of the spine upon which the skull rests.
Yes, but better than past.
Also, test the movable joints of your body.Do you have stiffness?
Slightly
How limber is your spine?
Pretty good ... average I guess.
Can you raise your hands over your head and bend forward with your knees locked to touch the floor with your fingertips?
Yes ... previously no
Are you limber enough to place the palms of your hands on the floor as you keep your knees stiff?
No.
Stand with your back to a wall. Move forward about 2 feet, then bend backward and “walk” down the wall with your hands. How far can you go?
To about mid butt level.
How high can you kick?
Head level to a an inch above head
do you have cracking in your knees when you do a leg squat?
No
How flexible are your feet?
Old injuries ... not applicable
Do you walk with a spring in your step?
I dunno
Do you have a feeling of suppleness and flexibility in your body?
Decent
Do you walk and dance with grace, or do you walk on calcified encrustations that cause you misery and pain?
Yes
Is your body flexible and pain free?
Yes, but in the past no
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
With that said, the calcification of my tissues I've been keeping track of such as the back of my hand and has diminished greatly.

Yes definitely. There is a 'crunching' sound/feeling when I roll my head. I always attributed it to weight lifting (neck exercises with free weights) but now I wonder.

No. I can almost touch my toes, but I'm pretty sure that is just hamstring flexibility. I am sure if I stretched regularly I could. I don't believe most people can do this that easily.
Are you limber enough to place the palms of your hands on the floor as you keep your knees stiff?
Hell no...are you kidding me?
Stand with your back to a wall. Move forward about 2 feet, then bend backward and “walk” down the wall with your hands. How far can you go?
Pretty much ass level.
How high can you kick?
Head level maybe 5'10"
do you have cracking in your knees when you do a leg squat?
No
How flexible are your feet?
pretty flexible. They hurt when sitting on them yoga style, but I think that may be fairly common.
Do you walk with a spring in your step?
I dunno
Do you have a feeling of suppleness and flexibility in your body?
I think so
do you walk on calcified encrustations that cause you misery and pain?
no
Is your body flexible and pain free?
for the most part

Re: Calcification test poll
MSM has a long tradition of helping the joints - is present in most of the joint formulas since a long time.....with this are we trying to prove the efficacy of K2 or the MSM?
