Aubrey Organics

Post  zerx on Tue Sep 02, 2008 12:37 am

I had previously been a huge fan of Avalon Organics shampoos and conditioners. However after comparing the two lines' ingredient lists I have come to conclude that Aubrey are much more well put together and have better ingredients.

Looking at the different types of Aubrey shampoos and conditioners is bound to give anyone new to them a hard time deciding. Does anyone know which shampoo and conditioner combo will be best for hairloss?

zerx - It's hard to go wrong with an Aubrey Organics shampoo.

They all kick ass. I don't use conditioners, but if you are the type of conditioner, the best Aubrey Conditioner is
GPB Conditioner (Glycogen Protein Balancer).

As far as shampoos, they're all good. Aubrey has certain non-shampoo products which I think are not as good, so stick with the shampoos and/or conditioners.

Thanks IH. GPB was my first choice for a conditioner while Blue Camomile was going to be my shampoo pick. So what Im trying to see is which one of the many shampoos might be best for maintaining a healthy scalp and therefore minimize hairloss. I also want to pick your brain on why you chose to forgo the conditioner.

zerx - It's only a personal choice. I experimented with long hair like 20 years ago and conditioner was essential for me then. I find that using just a shampoo makes the hair appear thicker--but then again, I haven't tried it lately.

aubrey

Post  fadero on Tue Sep 02, 2008 5:35 am

I have been using aubrey products for almost 10 years off and on. I love their shampoos but if do find that for some reason they tend to leave some sort of film. This doesn't occur at first, but after about 3 weeks. What I have found is I shampoo first with what ever I am using at the moment and then use the mens stock with the lithium rinse. It prevents the film buildup. I have to shampoo twice regardless. I really like their biotin gel, which I rub in after showering and then blow dry.

CS, How is Aubrey's Conditioner? Do you use it after your topical application of the shampoo? Or out of curiosity has it been tried mixing the DMSO/Lithium with the conditioner? Is the DMSO/lithium used to cleanse, or be absorbed into the scalp? I am looking at trying your topical. I have been using the shampoo and condtioner for a few weeks, and their scalp tonic (a few times).

I really want to try this Conditioner because most of the commercial protein conditioner I look at the market, water soluble cones in it and parabens.

crysanthium - I haven't used for own topical for quite a long time, but it was very useful when I needed it. It works well to eliminate sebum.

At the time I would use men's stock from Aubrey Organics, but found that it worked well with any of Aubrey varieties.

I have never tried it with a conditioner, but wouldn't see that as being any problem at all.

Here's some details on the topical and how to make it:

I'm very excited to say that we'll be offering a COMPLETELY organic shampoo within a week or two designed specifically to combat hair loss. Some of the ingredients include organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, and...well, I'll let the rest be a surprise. Very Happy
