Magnesium Oil Benefits

Post  nidhogge on Tue Jul 15, 2008 6:54 am

Other note-worthy things on this page, but do a ctrl+f on magnesium oil and it'll show you a host of amazing benefits for hair loss and general health relating to transdermal mag. oil application:

Sounds very nice. But does it really restore graying hair? What a Face

Misirlou

There are like 4 different types there and Im not sure which one is best or their magnesium content. Maybe someone who is already into mag oil knows this.

I use PureMagOil.com, the one that is specifically for Transdermal. Ordered the two half-gallon with Nascent Iodine special.

And yes--Mag. Oil is amazing, and I've noted in the past week of usage that my hair seems to be thicker and more "lustrous" for lack of a less metro word.

I see the word 'transdermal' at their homepage but still am not sure which one in particular is the transdermal one.

The one on the right.

Here's the protocol I follow:

5 dropper fulls of Mag. Oil massaged into the scalp in the shower. I apply IH's rinse to help lather it further. I do this first thing after washing my hair out with an organic soap bar (Neem soap). I then throw some soap on my face and wash my body and once all the bodily soap is washed off, I wash out my hair.

Then, have a spray bottle with the mag. oil, and spritz it in your hair/scalp before bed. Leave in overnight. Do this for 3 months and I'm positive you'll be impressed.

nidhogge - That's a cool page you found. Here's the meat of article:

Mag Oil sprayed on wrinkled skin will eventually begin to smooth out the wrinkles
Mag Oil sprayed and massaged into graying hair each evening and left on overnight, will begin to restore natural hair color within weeks and stimulate the growth of hair and greatly improve hair texture.
Mag Oil massaged onto balding areas of the scalp will begin to induce the growth of new hair.
Mag Oil rubbed regularly onto age spots will often cause them to fade and virtually disappear.
Mag Oil regularly rubbed into scar tissue will cause that tissue to reform into normal tissue.
Mag Oil rubbed onto skin tags will cause them to eventually drop off.
Mag Oil used in a bath or sprayed on after a shower, will relieve stress.

Damn, I am getting some of this stuff.

Nidhogge... how does it feel on the scalp?

What is the consistency... any irritation?

Here's my 2 cents on Mag Oil. I really don't use this often enough, 'cause it's always at my GF's!

If you apply the mag oil anywhere on the body it will feel kind of salty, so you'll want to wash it off.

On the scalp, it works great in the shower. It absorbs very fast, so once it's massaged in there, it's ready to be washed off--the residue that is.

This is what i have been using, and I have to say I am impressed--it's still early, however. I mix just a couple drops with my lavender oil. Apparently, according to a reviewer on the vitacoast site, which isn't where I get it from, an older formula used to contain lithium as well.

Did anyone try this at age spots?

Sounds expensive to massage into scalp every now and then?

Re: Magnesium Oil Benefits

I finally found a site comparing the two types. I saw nid's post on regrowth.com about how the Ocean Minerals one is salty and they point that out here too. Im leaning more and more towards the Ancient Minerals product.

"What is the difference between the Ancient Minerals and Ocean Minerals?

They are both the same strength and deliver over 500mg of elemental magnesium per teaspoon. The Ancient Minerals is regarded as the purest magnesium chloride available today. It is clear and odourless. It can sprayed all over the body including under make-up. And it is great to brush teeth with.

The Ocean Minerals has a golden colour and a slight "beachy" smell for the first 10 minutes of application. Many people prefer to buy a "twin set" - using the Ancient Minerals for the upper body and the Ocean Minerals for the lower body, baths and foot baths. "

Just ordered a bottle of the Ocean Minerals. Will try it on my hairline and some scars on my body.
