OT: Has anyone had turbinate coblation done?
As Immortal knows, I have been having some serious sinus issues for a few years now. When I lay down in the evening, one side of my nose gets stuffy and if I go to sleep on the wrong side- I wake up wide awake in the middle of the night not being able to breath out of one side of my nose. This happens every single night and sometimes takes me an hour+ to get opened up and go back to sleep. I have had both a septoplasty and turbinectomy which helped with my regular breathing but no change at night laying down. I have been tested for over 500 allergies, all were negative. My ENT said I have vasomotor rhinitis (allergic to random things that arent typical).
I have been dealing with this issue at night for a long time now. My ENT said there is a newer technology called coblation which sends high frequency radio waves into the turbinate and causes them to shrink down over the following 4-5 weeks. Im supposed to be getting this done tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.
