iodine and lower back pain

Post  william on Wed May 19, 2010 10:04 pm

Hey Guys,
New member here, appreciate all the info. on this forum and thanks to CS who I believe started this site and forum.

I recently started supplementing with detoxified iodine at small doses 2-3 drops per day @ 150mcg each just to see how or if my body would react. I started feeling really good even on the first day I started then about week into using the iodine I started having mild pain/discomfort in my lower back area right around the tailbone, seems to low to be kidneys but not too sure.
Could the iodine be causing this? possibly a detox symptom?
Next step to take if it is the iodine causing this?

Thanks for taking the time,
William

Thanks for the link.
I noticed under the list of Iodine -related bromide symptoms they list hair loss as one of them.
Is this fairly common while going through a bromide/halide detox?

Thanks,
William

Nice link CS.

This is an interesting quote from the link as I thought only Dr. Brownstein came to that conclusion.

"The iodine Doctors originally thought 25 mg and since have raised that and believe 50 mg is required."
