White crusty bits on bottom of hair
Hi,
A lot of my shed hair has white crusty bits on it. Sometimes on the white bulb, sometimes above it.
This is sebum right? Could it be a good sign that my scalp is getting rid of excess sebum? Ive been on the top 6 for a while and been using ACV a lot topically.

Defiantly sebum. It is interesting to note the connection between diet and acne...and the connection between acne and androgenic alopecia! Dairy products are the worst because it directly stimulates the sebaceous glands thru multiple ways. A huge study called Diet & Acne claims that lots of fats and oils in the diet increases sebaceous activity too.
