Mercola Nutritional Typing Test now free...

Post  isaac on Thu Jul 01, 2010 2:46 am

With all the talk of metabolic typing I figure this could help users. My personal experience is that the theory is generally sound. I test as a strong protein type and this is the kind of diet that controls my over-eating, snacking etc and leaves me feeling satiated.

I went back through it when I got the email about it being free now. It is much shorter than the tests I've seen in the past and I have 3 different MT books here.

Most people I have pointed to the tests find the questions a tad too difficult to answer on the spot as they just haven't paid the attention needed (to the diet, how they feel after eating certain foods, etc.) to answer the questions accurately. So they most always come out 'mixed type' .

I took Mercola's test and came out mixed, then I took the test (longer one) from a link CS posted and came out as a carbohydrate type. Tough to know what to think except I'm not a protein type.

@ gregslater

I agree the questions are quite poor...especially the breakfast ones. The best way to go about this is maybe try each diet Protein/Carb/Mixed and find out which one makes you feel best.
