CS: Best Form Of Copper?

Post  isaac on Mon Oct 20, 2008 8:18 pm

CS,

I imagine the best form of copper would be 'Copper Sebacate'? Just wanted to double check before I put an order through. I know supplementing zinc without copper can deplete copper stores and I've recently moved to zinc orotate over opti-zinc which came with added copper and my zinc orotate form does not.

Also how is you're experiment with Pueraria Mirifica coming along?

Thanks

isaac

isaac - Copper can be tricky. If you have any form of insulin resistance, then copper toxicity tends to be more problematic, then it would be a question of whether you can to go through the trouble of taking a copper supplement. Standard copper supplements are fine unless you are in dire need of copper, then something like Copper Sebacate would be worth the extra cost.

isaac - While I have some Thai Kudzu on hand, I want to finish out some other experiments before I begin taking it. I have used the other species of Kudzu heavily last year, but this one I think is the by far the best.

Nocturnalhorse - If you take desiccated liver, then no need to add copper. Optizinc contains enough copper.

Unless you have an especially low copper level, then zinc orotate by itself should be fine.

CS,

Kind of missed the boat on this one but do you consider dessicated liver the best multi-vitamin? Seen this mentioned a few times recently on the forum...

Brewer's yeast contains a lot of minerals and is an excellent source of real B-vitamins (except B12). However, desiccated liver contains every mineral needed in the proper form.

In the interest of earlier topics on say sublingual forms, these would be desirable for those who have had their intestinal ville (carpet-like shag appearance, finger-like part of the digestive system that absorb nutrients) damaged due to eating allergic foods.

Those who are prone to damage to their ville can have an impairment of certain nutrients absorption. If there is not digestive problem and, then I believe desiccated liver is a very reasonable, cost effective way to get everything need, mineral and vitamin wise.

CS,

Does the intestinal ville recover given time once the offending foods are removed?

isaac - If intestinal damage is confirmed, one way to help heal it rather quickly is using silver hydrosol.

However, it would be important to also remove the offending culprit (dietary source) that created the damage.
