Black spots on rear molar
I have had a black spot on my furthest rear molar for a while now (1.5 years). i started using baking soda, salt water and natural toothpaste about 8 months ago and the spot seems to have gotten worse. It looks like there is another spot forming on the same molar as well. My molar gums have a receded a bit as well. Are these black spots cavities in formation? Ive also been taking k2, mag oil, and doing some oill pulling as well. Seems like my teeth have gotten worse since dropping fluoride toothpaste and adding the supps.
Any thoughts?

Black spots are likely decay, yeah. Try giving up toothpaste altogether and brushing your teeth with something like mag oil, or toothsoap if you can afford it. I brush my teeth with pacific mag oil and it works pretty well.
I'd up the amount of K2 you're taking if you're not taking much, and get some natural sources of vitamins A&D if you're not getting a lot of either of those (fish oil would be a good source of both). I have just started using monosodium phosphate, so I can't really speak to how well it works for rebuilding teeth quite yet, but there's positive testimonials around the net and jdp has a post around here somewhere talking about how it has worked pretty well for him.

Re: Black spots on rear molar
ya i rarely use the natural toothpaste, mostly salt water, baking soda, oil pulling and peroxide rinse and i have a sonicare toothbrush. im taking 5mg of k2 a day. i am eating the healthiest i ever have, i get all the nutrients possible from food and take mineral drops in my water. the only thing ive changed other than my diet and mouth hygiene is i skipped my 6 month tooth cleaning, so i havent been to the dentist for a year or so, but that isnt that long. im going to read over CS article on "cave women not brushing their teeth" and see if i can pull something else out of there that i missed.

Re: Black spots on rear molar
So after re reading CS "oral hygiene" article, i have narrowed it down to this
"When you consume carbohydrate, your blood chemistry can reveal how this affects your calcium, phosphorus, glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The readings provide strong clues to your ancestral diet, and what you shouldn't be eating. Ultimately, the readings can reveal what sort of percentage in carbohydate, fats and proteins one should consume.
Essentially what to look for is a glucose level at 85 or below and a triglyceride level at a 100 or below. If these readings are higher, it means you'll need to reduce your carbohydrate consumption.
So what causes dental decay? Low phosphorus levels create a dysregulation of calcium. There is a normal, healthy fluid flow that goes through the tooth, from the pulp chamber, through the dentin, through the enamel and finally through the mouth. This will occur when the phosphorus level is close to 4.0
However, if the phosphorus level drops below 3.5, then the endocrine system that governs the fluid flow can reverse its direction through the mouth, through the enamel, into the dentin, into the pulp chamber and finally sucking the bacteria into the tooth."
im already consuming a low amount of fruits, dont eat bread, but do eat millet, quinoa, yams and sweet potatoes. Not all the time but i do. ahhh this is so aggravating, my hair and teeth or going down the drain. i guess ill get my glucose and triglyceride levels tested.

I don't know man if fluoride toothpaste was working for you before I wouldn't change it. I've used it my whole life and never had a cavity so why get rid of it. People have the ability to be wrong about things, not every single belief on here may be correct. I would just suggest also using xylitol mouthwash and rinse with either magnesium oil or epsom salts in addition to whatever other toothpastes you use.

Re: Black spots on rear molar
A while back I started using baking soda and peroxide toothpaste to cut down on flouride exposure. I developed a spot on my back moler about 6 months later and I have never had a cavity in my life. It has since gone away but I started alternating flouride toothpaste with baking soda.

I've also developed similar black spots on my teeth, which has also coincided with not using fluoride
