You linked to an article that costs $6 to read. Nice work.

Why is that?

umm, no just no. I mean everything is vital. Oxidants have their place. But antioxidants are a way greater mediator. You need a surplus of electrons always.

I mean, we start dying from the day we are born. But the absence of electrons just greatly precipitates the process.

Odysseus - You are the resident pro-status quo to keep "everything in line" but mainstream is always biased.

Sure, there's more to a story than pure antioxidants.

This is why I wrote this some time ago.

http://longevitypost.com/the-power-of-indirect-antioxidants/

So, there are limitations to just direct antioxidants and pro-oxidants are needed too.

If one takes vitamin C over 500 mg for example, it becomes a pro-oxidant. It's great stuff at 2 grams or more.

Sulfur is a great form of both pro-oxidation and a way to create endogenous antioxidants, the sort that are associated with longer life.

Chaga has a ridiculous ORAC score - http://www.eartherbs.com/index.php?page=83

How would it rank against other product like Ecklonia Cava (I understand the 12 hour half life) or some other antioxidants?

Could it also mean that by taking chaga you reduce the need to take other products?
