ALCAR hits same acetylcholine receptors as nicotine- implications for smoking/quitting?
CS/others,
I read that ALCAR binds to the same acetylcholine receptors as nicotine. Does that mean that ALCAR would be helpful or a hindrance to quitting smoking. Could cravings for nicotine develop as a result of ALCAR supplementation in smokers who have recently quit? For example Wellbutrin helps to quit smoking by blocking these acetylcholine receptors.
