Yes, and a bald spot forms at the back of the head also, coincidentally where we have our heads compressed when we lay on our backs.

The crown area where people normally loose hair is slightly higher than the back of the head where we'd rest on except for in ppl with the most aggressive forms of mpb, and it still doesnt explain the top, nor do I think this is really relevant to hair loss. I added my input on sleep inversion in here just in case anyone did feel it was a problem though.

I lay on the side of my head. I'm sure many others do too. And all the native people who live in close relationship to the land and who have ZERO hair loss, maybe they sleep without their head touching anything? - ha ha.

As A.R says it about inflammation caused internally.

The rest is pure masturbation, helpful perhaps but not the real deal.

How does the adipose on the top of you guys' head compare to the sides?
The fat layer on the sides of my head is still there, while the top doesn't have much at all. I can't remember if it ever had a comparable fat layer when I had hair, or if the top of your head is even capable of sustaining that much fat. Has anyone noticed the fat layer on the top of your head become thinner over time?
