OT: Color Blindness
I know that nearsightedness is reversible by maintaining adequate health over time. What I'm particularly curious about is whether or not color blindness can be fixed without the use of stem cells. Ever since the day my eyes were formed in the womb, I've had a pretty severe red-green deficiency. There is only blue and the great beyond. There is something genetic to it, as my uncle, grandfather (both on my mom's side), and my brother have all been affected.
While the "what color is this" game is just as fun for me as it is for others, I'm still interested in whether or not it's curable. What I've learned about epigenitics makes me somewhat hopeful, but then again I'm not sure how it is expressed within my genetic code, or in my eye structure. Thoughts?
