Ex-Soldier - Post Traumatic Stress
This is a bit of a long shot...
I have a good friend who has recently left the Army. He has post traumatic stress. He shared with me recently that he has trouble sleeping (maybe 4 hours sleep a night), has depression some times (to the point where he does not want to get out of bed) and generally is just worn down.
I believe he is obtaining some counselling.
From a nutritional perspective, is there anything he can do?
Thanks!

A brain tuner/bio tuner may help.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRx0Luz86Uc
A CES ultra is also similar
http://www.cesultra.com/product-store.php
A BT-9 or BT-11 is a cheaper version
http://altered-states.net/index2.php?/braint/black.htm
There is also another brand as well but I forget it's name but the brain tuner/bio tuner is the most well known.
There is a used CES ultra and bio tuner on ebay for less money right now.
For PTSD they may need to use it for possibly longer sessions than average and may take many more sessions before getting good results as compared to anxiety or depression or addicition or other ailments that tend to respond faster.
EFT may also be helpful as well as magnesium "malate."

FISH OIL!! Get a high quality one. He should take a lot to help the brain repair itself from the stress.
I highly recommend Natural Calm (magnesium/calcium supplement). You just put it in water and drink it twice a day. You can buy it at Vitamin Shoppe, Amazon, etc.
I'm trying to think of what else...if I think of anything I'll post it, but I think these two things should definitely help.

JDP have you tried the new Orion Retrovirus script by Jeff Sutherland, as I found it very calming. When I woke up, I felt very relaxed much like when I use the Bio tuner.

Thanks jimmy. I appreciate it.
Sutherland's frequencies do work very well. Unfortunately my subscription ended this year and I haven't renewed it so I haven't tried his new frequencies this year. I was thinking maybe next year I might renew it though.
Since you have a subscription, you can also try his measels frequency set which is from 3/2010. It worked well for me and here is a quote from him.

About 50% of the people tested by the Frequency Foundation appear to benefit from the measles
vaccine frequency set.
...
These multiple organisms appear in every case tested, i.e. they always occur together, and with a
specific focus in the hypothalamus which leads to inability for the brain to process external stimuli
properly. This affects internal perception of the world and causes a negative effect on interpersonal
relations. Chronic infection of the hypothalamus with an aging immune system may cause more
serious complications.
...
It should be noted that males, for genetic reasons, are far more susceptible to effects of this
contamination than females, even though females also have mercury, aluminum, and measles in the
hypothalamus. No wonder the women are complaining about the men all the time!

JDP this is the description that Jeff has on his site. I know it sounds very far fetched, but I can say that I have felt so relaxed for 3 days, and mind is a lot clearer now, with minimal anxiety (Caused by messed up thyroid and adrenal). Do you think it would be cheeky to post the script here?
"Recently, an interesting frequency set was developed based on one of Peter Moon's books. A source told him the Atlantean civilization was wiped out by an off-world Orion Alliance using biotechnology. Specifically, a retrovirus destroyed Atlantean priests higher brain function causing them to forget how to operate their technology. They made mistakes causing widespread destruction.
Maybe this is true, maybe it is fiction. However, if such a virus existed, it would remain in the brains of all humans, perhaps all mammals. The standard process used for determination of frequencies was applied to the top of the head and the current form of the virus was found along with several strains.
Testing these viral frequencies with fellow researchers caused remarkable effects. Running them will target primarily the top of the brain, yet these viruses are embedded in the DNA of all our cells. As a result, the frequencies will need to be run for an extended time period repeatedly to remove these viruses.
An expansion and clarity of thinking occurs with these frequencies, elevating your IQ and allowing you to better focus and get more done. Constant vivid dreams are often noticed after running them. For some, there are significant herxheimer responses. Residual swine flu organisms flare up, for example. One researcher said removing these viruses felt like an exorcism and was not pleasant at all. The end result, however, was positive.
Running the frequencies will at a minimum cause minor symptoms of the common cold. I suspect eliminating these viruses will improve immunity to colds and flu. As always, use these frequencies only for research purposes and at your own risk. Please report any results positive or negative for the benefit of other researchers.

Thanks for the info jimmy. Crazy info huh, lol.
By the way, regarding viruses, the pyroenergen has some info on it's site about it eliminating viruses which it's info is just as crazy, lol http://www.pyroenergen.com/fifth-dimension.htm Dr. Loyd's version the Static Gen II is a cheaper version. Either way, it doesn't matter if the info at the site is accurate as it does inhibit/eliminate viruses. I'm building a DIY version that I'm hoping will work equally as well but will probably be less reliable for less than $60. If it works, I'll post the DIY version on this site.
A bit off topic but Dr. Loyd has found 10% of people he sees have prion issues. Which also affects the ability to think. Viruses and prions are one of those issues where people can't figure out as they don't know if they are alive or not but for some reason are able to replicate. I can send more info on prions to you if you need or on another thread so that we don't hijack this one.

Re: Ex-Soldier - Post Traumatic Stress
Something that serious goes deeper than nutritional supplements. He needs to see someone specialized in working with the disorder. I would recommend NLP. It can be powerful if the user has the belief in it from the outset. Probably the biggest reason that getting counseling helps people has to do with their own brain. They believe they can't help themselves, and they put all of their belief in the psychiatrist and assign him/her a trust, there is no doubt in that person. If you realize that their ability to help you is actually because of you, you begin to realize how much help you can actually offer yourself. Do some research on NLP and experiment with it. Get his/her full trust in it and help guide them through it. I betcha you'll see improvement given sufficient reinforcement.
There are some products that are great for calming and balancing someone out.
Here are those I'd recommend:
Phosphatidylserine: 200-400 mg daily
Sensoril Ashwaghanda: around 500 mg daily
Omega 3 Fatty Acids (fish oil, krill oil): 5-10 total grams in divided
doses through the day
And something that might help him out a lot in the sleep department:
GABA: 500 mg before going to bed

Renky - I would follow AS54's advice to a T. It's rock solid and at the necessary dose levels to see some changes within a week.

Re: Ex-Soldier - Post Traumatic Stress
Try playing war video games like Modern Warfare or Project Flashpoint with friends and family members on a regular basis. I don't know if this will help reduce the PTSD, but it will ameliorate the response to the symptoms.

Have your friend find an experienced Eye Movement Densensitization Reprocessing ("EMDR") therapist.
It works, brilliantly.
