Really interesting post. Thanks for that. It would have been interesting to see how Marilyn aged if she had maintained that diet.

Put in sugar for lunch and that's pretty Peat. The bit about "pretty high in cholesterol and fat" followed by "a way to examine how much diet and nutrition information we’ve learned in the past six decades" got a giggle out of me.

Quote from the "article"...

"Pretty sure that meal plan isn’t one that would be recommended by most experts. It’s lacking in key nutritional groups (those four or five carrots aren’t really enough), and pretty high in cholesterol and fat. Also, it sounds pretty icky. No lunch and eggs in milk? Oh, Marilyn."

How this person is considered an author is beyond me. Liver, steak, milk, and eggs are among the most nutrient dense foods on the planet, but in the author's warped view of reality, carrots are the only healthy thing she's eating. Apparently, borderline idiots, spewing ridiculously flaky advice to the housewife crowd counts as a profession these days.

I'd also like to think that if Ray Peat and Marilyn Monroe were to meet, they'd be fast friends.
