Toco-8 Feedback

Post  nidhogge on Fri Apr 03, 2009 7:12 pm

Hey guys,

Just curious--anyone that's using Toco-8, what benefits have you noticed? For hair, general health, energy levels, etc.

I've been on Toco-8 for many months now. Here's what I've experienced:
- Increased alertness and energy
- Boost in cardio and stamina
- Quality of hair has improved

If anyone doesn't mind the taste of palm oil, it is a rich source of tocotrienols.

Unfortunately isn't the over harvesting of palm oil the leading reason for the orangutans being on the verge of extinction?

Silverlin - Didn't know that, but I did a search and it's all over the place. The palm oil consumption is pretty low in the states, but I think they use it like mad in the south east.

CS,

You use E-Gems Elite correct? How potent is regular consumption of palm oil compared to the supplements? I noticed the charts often list the vitamin e content for palm oil in 'ppm' but the supplements are in IU so I don't know which is better bang for buck.

I have to admit that I'm not incredibly sensitive to bad tastes. I can gulp down any tea concoction the acupuncturists gives me without making a face. Actually, wheat grass makes me want to throw up, but besides that I have a really strong stomach. That said, the Toco-8 seems pretty middle-of-the-road. It doesn't necessarily taste good, but at the same time, it isn't distinct or overpowering in any way. I take it first thing in the AM and mix the suggested amount of Toco-8 with 1 oz. of organic lemon juice and 12 oz. of water. In this way, I can still taste the Toco-8, but the lemon juice becomes the more powerful part of the drink. I'd imagine if you mixed the Toco-8 into a flavored protein powder shake you wouldn't be able to taste it at all.

I'd usually throw some water in my mouth, and drop the spoonful of Toco-8 in there. I enjoy the taste personally.

Europe--

Absolutely. Since I'm friends with Eric as well, the founder of PP, I'm well-aware of what their cost is and their profit mark-up. Let me tell you--FAR below what a typical supplement company would mark their products up as. You pay for what you get, that's for sure.
